Do you have a recipe for cooking a tri-tip in the oven?

Normally my husband grills our tri-tips but I would like to try roasting one. Any ideas? Thanks.

the best way to prepare a tri-tip in the oven is to use a roasting pan with a rack.
Season your meat and place it in the roasting rack. Add water to the bottom of the pan – an inch or two is fine, just make sure it is not touching the meat. Heat the oven to 150 degrees and cook for 3-5 hours, checking every half hour (after the first hour of cooking) or so to make sure there is still liquid in the bottom of the pan. Cooking time will depend on size of tri-tip and how done you like your steak.
    Happy Roasting!
